It was quite a mission getting all the pieces out to Monaco (along with presents, cases etc.) and then onto Sweden the next day, but it was definitely worth it. Just before the evening of the reception I even managed to fool my father (and all the family) by dropping the empty cake box in front of him. Don't think I will ever forget his face!! The hotel staff presented it to my girlfriend on a silver tray and they (staff at ‘The Dorchester’) were blown away in fact they showed it to their pastry chef, needless to say Maisie Fantaisie was a big hit! The 22nd April was a wonderful day – the wedding went off without a hitch and we had the added bonus of a beautiful day. Tim and Shelly were absolutely thrilled with the and the chef and wedding organiser at the Vineyard both said it was the most beautiful cake they had ever seen!! It really did look stunning. The whole day was a complete success and I cannot thank you enough for such beautifully decorated cakes. The compliments flowed throughout the evening on both the decoration and content of the cakes. A big THANK YOU to you for making such a fabulous wedding cake for us – It went down an absolute storm, your sugar flowers were stunning, so elegant, and everybody commented on how perfectly it matched the whole colour scheme of the wedding and the invitations, menus etc. I have also never tasted such a lovely wedding cake – all other ones I have had before were dry but yours was lovely and moist, and the chocolate was proper rich chocolate fudge which is exactly what we wanted (I confess I actually ate 7 pieces of the chocolate cake during the evening do!). Still got a small section of fruit left at home but it’s disappearing fast. So thank you again and I shall recommend you to engaged friends!
