Can you deliver our wedding cake?

Yes. Nationwide delivery is available for all of our wedding cakes.  Please ask for a quote. We can also arrange delivery for weddings that are taking place overseas.

Can I mix the flavours of my wedding cake?

Of course. Each tier of your wedding cake can be a different flavour. Ideally if you are having more than three tiers then fruitcake should be at the bottom.

I can’t see the wedding cake I want on your website –

This is not a problem. All our cakes are individually designed to your personal specifications. Please call us to discuss your wedding cake design ideas.

My mother wants to bake the wedding cake?

We can certainly ice and decorate cakes that are provided. I would need to liaise directly with the baker to get the correct shapes and sizes. Though I would recommend that you try our fabulous wedding cakes.

I’ve seen a few wedding cakes that I like on your website. Can you mix wedding cake designs?

Yes. Any design shape or size can be combined to create a new wedding cake.

I’ve seen a wedding cake in an American magazine. But I can’t find it in the UK. Can you make it for me?

If you can provide us with a photograph of the wedding cake I would be happy to recreate it for you. Some brides do come to me with a design that they have fallen in love with. All the wedding cakes on the website are bespoke but we are equally able to recreate a copy.

I like one of your wedding cakes, but I would like it in a different shape –

This is no problem. We can work together and design the wedding cake that is perfect for your day.

I want to use fresh flowers on my wedding cake; do I buy them from you?

Using fresh flowers on a wedding cake looks beautiful. Your florist will supply the flowers for the wedding cake and we will liaise with them to ensure everything is to your satisfaction.

How long before our wedding is the wedding cake prepared?

If your wedding cake is a fruitcake then we will bake them as far in advance as possible depending on when the order is placed. The fruitcake needs regular feeding and maturing with brandy. If your wedding cake is sponge then we will bake these the week of the wedding.

Can I freeze my wedding cake?

If your wedding cake is a sponge cake, yes you can. I would advise that the cake is stripped of icing and sealed in cling film. If your wedding cake is a fruitcake then it will last indefinitely in an airtight container. Though remember, the wedding cake will never be at it’s best after freezing.

Do you bake your own wedding cakes?

Yes. All our cakes are baked on our premises. We put a lot of love into them! It’s so important that your wedding cake tastes as good as it looks.

Can we taste the cakes?

Certainly. Please call to arrange a consultation and to let us know what flavours you are interested in.

I am allergic to nuts. Can you make me a nut free wedding cake?

I have a nut allergy myself and I am particularly aware of this concern. We treat all allergies very seriously and a nut free wedding cake is no problem at all. Please let us know if you have any specific dietary requirements.

Can you make gluten free wedding cakes?

Certainly. Our gluten free wedding cakes come in a variety of flavours.

Do you supply wedding cake stands or bases?

We supply all of the glass stands for our wedding cakes. A deposit of £150 is required. This is reimbursed when the stand is returned. We don’t supply silver cake stands, though generally you venue will be able to supply you with this type of stand.

How far in advance do we need to order our wedding cake?

This really depends on the time of year that your wedding is taking place. The summer months are very busy. I would advise booking at least three months in advance. It is always worth calling to see if we have a space.

Do I have to order one of the wedding cakes from your website?

No. All of the wedding cakes are individually designed. You can certainly order a wedding cake from the website, but they are also there as inspiration. Please call us to discuss any ideas that you have for your wedding cake.
